Food Wholesale - but not as you know it!

Picture yourself leading our Food Wholesale business and ensuring its smooth, profitable and efficient running. You will be pivotal in leading the production, sales and delivery of Home Farm Food products so that we meet and exceed the expectations of both our internal and external customer base. 

You'll become a vital part of our story, continually inspiring  an accomplished team of 14, keeping everyone motivated and working well together.   You'll be responsible for the continuous supply of produce from our in house Butchery Department, Dairy, Cheese-maker and Brewery direct to our Entertainment & Hospitality business and to our external customer base. 

You'll ultimately oversee the entire process from receipt of orders to preparation, through to dispatch and delivery and finally, invoicing and payment collection, whilst taking full responsibility for the Wholesale P & L.  You will have extensive experience in the food business, with an in depth knowledge of pricing and production.

An excellent relationship builder, enthusiastic and collaborative in your approach, you'll help to nurture long standing relationships with our teams, suppliers and customers.

What you'll have:

- Evidence of managing and leading a team
- High touch service levels 
- Knowledge of farm-based food production, Inc. Butchery, Dairy and Brewery 
- Understanding of VAT calculations, purchase ledger and invoice processes 
- Previous knowledge of budgets, coding, analysis and stock control
- Experience of multi-drop distribution with up to 7.5-ton lorries

A bit about us:

Goodwood Home Farm on the Goodwood Estate has been supplying food to the Dukes of Richmond for over 300 years.  It has 3,400 acres of organically managed farm land and is the largest lowland organic farm in Europe that is completely self-sustaining.  Organic food produced and sold on the Estate includes milk, dairy products (including soft and hard cheeses), beef, lamb, pork, ham and award winning sausages, bacon and burgers.  The food is supplied to the restaurants and hotel on Goodwood Estate, local shops and coffee houses and restaurants in London.
