The University of Chichester is delighted to be able to offer a number of posts in the School of Nursing and Allied Health. This is a brand-new school, so this is an exciting opportunity to help grow and shape the future of our Nursing and Allied Health provision. Our current health-related portfolio across the University includes Social Work and Social Care, Psychology, Counselling, Nutrition, Sports Therapy, Biomechanics, Public Health, and most recently BSc/MSc programmes in Physiotherapy.

We are developing a range of Adult Nursing programmes that will be recognised for their academic quality, innovation and close ties to the healthcare and wider sectors in which our graduates will work. Nursing and Allied Health is based at our Bishop Otter Campus in Chichester and is adjacent to St Richard’s Hospital, which has been rated as Outstanding for acute care.

As a Senior Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Allied Health you will contribute to teaching, quality assurance compliance, partnership working, research and income generation. At Senior Lecturer level the post holder will be expected to engage in the planning, design and leadership of teaching and research activity, and to be making wider contributions with partners and activity associated with the School and University.

The post holder will have knowledge, experience and skills to enable contemporary contribution and leadership to the BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult) programme and future programmes as relevant to expertise. You will need to be a current nurse registrant (RN/Adult or RGN) with the Nursing Midwifery Council, have demonstrable expertise, have a postgraduate qualification and experience and understanding of principles of learning and teaching in higher education.

We aim to ensure that we equip our graduates with the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace upon graduation and throughout their professional careers. As such, we not only focus on the acquisition of technical knowledge, but also on vital transferable skills and professional practices.

Informal enquiries are welcomed by: Nita Muir, at N.Muir@chi.ac.uk.
