Head of Health & Safety, Risk and Compliance

Goodwood is renowned for its thrilling motorsport and horseracing events, including the Festival of Speed, the Qatar Goodwood Festival and the Goodwood Revival. Picture yourself developing and leading our Health & Safety, Risk and Compliance strategy to meet the current and future needs of the Goodwood Estate. With a demonstrable record of success, your extensive experience in Health and Safety at a senior, strategic level will enable you to drive a positive culture, instilling a programme of continual improvement and development.

You will become our ambassador when liaising with all relevant authorities and local groups. You will work proactively with the Directors’ Risk Committee to develop the Group’s risk management strategy, whilst also engaging with our leaders, ensuring awareness of risks relevant to their business areas. A large part of your role will be to communicate and lead a a culture of compliance and risk management, with the confidence to support and challenge the business as needed.

What you’ll have:

  • A highly experienced, knowledgeable HSE lead, with extensive experience in strategic Health and Safety, Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance
  • A qualification in occupational health and safety e.g. NEBOSH, NVQ5, NCRQ (Diploma level) as a minimum educational attainment
  • Expertise on UK HSE regulations and good knowledge of relevant EU Regulations. Familiarity with The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 an advantage
  • Real leadership skills and a collaborative personality, able to build relationships with key stakeholders within the business
  • Proven experience of managing change and the gravitas to lead others through change
  • Superb communication and influencing skills
