We are looking for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (level of appointment would be dependent upon experience and qualifications) in Sport and Exercise Psychology (Skill Acquisition) in the Institute of Sport. This is a fixed term, part time (0.8 fte) role to cover a period of maternity leave, commencing in June 2020.


As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, you will be expected to contribute to three key activities: teaching, research and income generation. The post holder will contribute to Sport and Exercise Psychology and, potentially, Research Methods and Statistics modules on programmes including BSc Sport and Exercise Psychology, BSc Sport and Exercise Science, BSc Sports Coaching Science, MSc Sport and Exercise Psychology and MSc Psychology of Sport and Exercise, particularly the modules Applied Practitioner and Professional Practice in Sport & Exercise Psychology. You will be expected to fully and actively engage in the range of activities that ensure learning and teaching quality within the modules delivered.


You will be qualified with a good, relevant, undergraduate degree with further professional or academic qualifications at Masters level. You will have Qualified Teacher Status/HE teaching qualification and demonstrate the ability to deliver high quality, effective and imaginative teaching which enthuses and develops students. You will have strong administrative and skills and work well in a team.
