Part Time Financial Controller

Brighton, East Sussex

Circa 15-22 hours per week (negotiable)

Expanding technology business based in central Brighton is seeking a part time Financial Controller to join their business. This role will require circa 15-22 hours per week (negotiable) and management of 2 members of staff. Reporting directly into the COO, this individual will be the most senior in-house finance person and be able to help him steer the business through sound financial advice.

Overview of duties -

• Oversee preparation and submission of monthly management accounts (assisted by team)
• Working with staff across the business to compile the annual budget
• Sign off weekly supplier payruns
• Cash flow reporting - annual view
• Monthly re-forecasting based on actual results and future plans
• Scenario modelling & making improvement suggestions to management team
• Supervise two payrolls per month - ensuring all pensions, pay and deductions are compliant
• Analyse profitability and review reports - report to senior management team

Candidate requirements -

• Ideally candidates will hold a recognised accounting qualification
• They will have experience in a similar role and technical knowledge relating to the above duties
• They will have managed an in-house payroll from start to finish
• They will be able to commence a new role from June 2019 (i.e 1 month notice or less)
