Harvey John are partnering with a market leading, high growth tech start-up in Central London in their search for an experienced, temporary Accountant. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the fastest growing startups in Europe.

Working closely with the UK Finance Manager and CFO, you'll be involved in a broad range of responsibilities in a fast-paced Finance team. This is a fantastic time to join a multi-national tech start-up with over £100m of VC funding. They are looking for capable and experienced self-starters to expand their UK operation which is moving out of it's launch phase after a period of exciting results.

An experienced accountant with at least 1-2 years experience in a similar, high growth environment, you'll have the opportunity to develop existing skills whilst growing your exposure to more complex finance functions.

About the role

• Review and issue sales invoices on a weekly basis
• Review of weekly sales and expenses
• Credit control and cash collection reporting
• Significant involvement in month end close
• Preparation of quarterly VAT returns for review
• Analyse and advise on business financial performance
• Maintain and develop your professional and technical knowledge in an fast-paced setting
• Work daily with a Big-4 trained CFO, significant training and development opportunities

About you

• A forward thinking accountant, you'll bring at least 1-2 years experience in a similar role
• Likely studying/qualified AAT and/or undertaking further professional studies i.e. ACCA
• Professional experience in a similar, high-growth startup is vital
• Excellent analytical skills and used to working with large data sets on Excel
• Prior experience in the use of SME accounting systems (e.g. Sage / Xero / Quickbooks)
• A strong problem solver, you'll be experienced in process design and improvement
• Meticulous attention to detail in a fast paced environment
• Work to your initiative in an evolving workplace
• A self-starter, you'll have a passion for working within the startup sector
