Harvey John are working closely with a rapidly scaling client in the Horsham area who have an opportunity for a Cost Accountant to join their busy finance team.

This is a newly created opportunity due to the recent commercial growth of the company and will primarly involve the development and maintennance of a standard manufacturing cost model. Alongside you'll also be involved in analysing and modelling future costings as well as partnering with internal stakeholders to set and report on budgets and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

• Development and maintennance of standard cost workings for key products and processes
• Various internal stakeholder engagement to assist understanding of cost drivers and implementations of subsequent actions
• Provision of business case analysis for investment decisions
• Close contact with other departments to produce accurate budgetting and forecasts
• Reporting and analysing on monthly budget/forecast results
• Provide insights into cost saving activities and production of ad-hoc reports/analysis as and when required

About you

• You'll be a newly or part-qualified CIMA/ACCA student with a background in manufacturing accounting
• Exposure to financial modelling and analysis of manufacturing costings
• Strong working knowledge of integrated finance and manufacturing systems, as well as Microsoft Excel
• With an analytical approach to your work, you'll be confident in challenging processes to encourage improvements
• Able to communicate with colleagues at all levels and confidently manage your own objectives without supervision
