Deal Originator/M&A Advisor - Business Sales & Divestitures 
OTE - £38k - £46k depending on experience

Evolution Capital, a leading mid-market TMT Boutique Corporate Finance firm, delivering shareholder value to our clients via innovative deal solutions, providing strategic and transaction advice and support, from deal origination through to deal completion. We exclusively advise clients in the Technology and Telecoms sector on all aspects of M&A, divestitures, mergers, buy-outs, debt structuring and with business and company valuations.  The team is particularly focussed on advising business owners looking to exit, as well as strategic acquirers and financial investors.

We are looking for a Deal Originator/M&A Advisor to join our high calibre team in our Chichester office.  This role represents a ground floor opportunity for an experienced sales/marketing/commercial professional without direct Corporate Finance experience, as training will be provided to the successful candidate.  Working closely with our senior advisory team, the Deal Originator/M&A Advisor will take direct responsibility for business sale client projects.
 
You will possess exceptional analytical skills, be highly committed to quality and excellence, be able to demonstrate initiative, whilst having a down to earth "sleeves rolled up, can-do" attitude.  Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are absolutely necessary, as the role will have both client facing and executive level exposure.  Everyday duties will include developing market awareness, identifying and qualifying new opportunities, co-ordinating prospective introductions and developing market research to support client engagement objectives.

Job description:

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients.
  • Research and analyse industry and company information.
  • Interrogate, manage and develop the company database.
  • Reaching out to suitable targets to arrange initial meetings and explore their appetite for sale.
  • To discuss shareholders' strategic objectives and review recent company performance with business owners.
  • To qualify and secure appointments with prospective clients, potential buyers and sellers and administer client confidentiality.
  • To develop presentations and proposals for potential clients.
  • Manage transition through M&A stages (with support from Management Team) including being the day to day point of contact for clients.
  • To identify and approach potential buyers to meet current and future engagement requirements.
  • To provide regular reporting to our team and our clients to include PowerPoint and Excel formats.

  • Eligible to work in the UK.

  • Excellent analytical, comprehension and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A highly-motivated team player with strong personal integrity, comfortable in contributing in a unique and highly interdependent environment and driven to exceed client expectations.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, with focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read and understand company accounts.
  • Desirable but not essential: corporate finance and or Telecoms/IT industry experience.
