Extremely exciting opportunity for an ambitious and highly passionate business development professional, with existing professional services sector experience, to join a leading South East business.

Harvey John is working with a reputable Top 200 law firm on sourcing a Corporate Business Development Manager to join their organisation. Key responsibilities:

  • Scope out the mid-corporate market, identifying market and business trends.
  • Grow and develop the firm's mid-corporate client base.
  • Actively participate in the development of new value propositions.
  • Negotiate appropriate pricing on opportunities taking into account both the preferences of the client and the firm's pricing benchmarks.
  • In conjunction with client relationship partners, develop credible client plans evidencing an understanding of the client's strategy, priorities and challenges.
  • Identify and manage risk associated with new and existing business.
  • Ensure the sales and client relationship processes are adhered to.
  • Identify, lead and motivate the broader mid-corporate sales team.
  • Collaborate with the Heads of Service Delivery to monitor the pipeline of work and to determine service and resource/cost requirements on particular opportunities.
  • Meet sales revenue and pipeline targets.
  • Monitor blended client margin to ensure our investment in client relationship management is appropriate and proportionate to the future value of the relationship to the firm.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in a similar role, however legal sector experience is not specifically required. You will have a good understanding of the buying and selling cycles of corporate businesses, and show a passion for leading and motivating others.
