A key client of ours is currently seeking a detail focused and hard working Accounts Assistant to join their flourishing business. This is an award winning organisation which has a presence across the country and industry leading reputation. Reporting into the FC and FD, you will join a welcoming team of long-standing and dedicated staff in a busy and varied role which has opportunities for career development if desired.

Existing accounts administration experience is required in order to be considered for this role and you will also ideally have used Sage. Individuals with engineering sector experience would be an advantage however not essential.

Job overview:

• Dealing with all correspondence and enquiries from suppliers
• Maintaining supplier records
• Posting and agreeing invoices & credit notes
• Communicating with suppliers on all aspects of their account
• Providing payment runs as required
• Monitor and reconcile supplier statements
• Review and analyse invoices and credit notes
• Update the data which is passed through the system to the supplier accounts to be paid as appropriate
• Support staff through the accounts payable workflow process
• Invoicing clients
• Chasing overdue payments
• Dealing with all correspondence/enquiries from other internal staff, supplying information and taking appropriate action as requested
• Supplying reports and statistics as requested

The ideal candidate will be an effective team player with excellent attention to detail and good communication skills.
