St Barnabas Hospices offers specialist palliative care through two hospices: St Barnabas House adult hospice in Worthing and Chestnut Tree House children's hospice near Arundel in Sussex. Our Shops and Distribution Centre provide one of our most important revenue streams and offer quality items and a friendly service.
 
We are opening a new St Barnabas House hospice shop in Shoreham. This is an exciting opportunity to help set up and launch a new retail operation.
 
We are looking for: An innovative and sales focused Assistant Manager for our Hospice shop in the vibrant Sussex town of Shoreham. Are you a successful manager, who is passionate about customer service, upcycling and making a real difference?
 
This role involves: Working alongside and deputising for the Shop Manager you will be responsible for - Delivering excellent customer service; assisting in the managing of a  team of volunteers; stock control and ordering; visual merchandising; using the EPOS system; daily cash handling and banking; ensuring the staff, volunteers, the shop and the site are safe and secure. 
 
Experience in retail, sales or a similar environment is vital and experience of working in a charity shop is desirable
