South Downs National Park Authority
The South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) came into being on 1 April 2010. Its statutory purposes are to conserve and enhance the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the South Downs National Park, and to promote opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of the Park's special qualities by the public. The Authority is in its "shadow" year, during which preparations are being made for becoming fully operational from 1st April 2011.
We are now looking to recruit/second a team to lead and contribute to the development of the future strategy of the South Downs National Park. This work will be done with our partners and will make a major contribution to final delivery of the South Downs National Park Management Plan.
Specifically we wish to recruit individuals for the following expert areas:
Landscape
Cultural Heritage
Biodiversity
Understanding of the National Park
Access and Recreation
Rural Economy
Communities
You will have a relevant degree and/or an equivalent qualification with a number of years experience of developing partnership strategies, commissioning, analysing and applying relevant research to strategy development, evaluation and monitoring.
If you think you can add real value to this team, we would like to hear from you. We are offering these roles as fixed term contracts or secondment to 31st March 2011.
