We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Marketing Officer based at our Bognor Resort. This is a pivotal marketing role linking the operational teams on Resort to the wider Butlins marketing team based at Hemel Hempstead. This new role will deliver fast turnaround on-Resort collateral which continues to build the Butlins brand and enhances the guest experience. The Marketing Officer will also act as the 'brand champion' on Resort - making sure that all communications are aligned to the Butlins brand strategy developed by the Resort Marketing team in Hemel Hempstead.
Key Purpose
1.To develop and produce an agreed list of Guest communications to Butlins brand guidelines including posters, flyers, information notices and Guest letters in collaboration with the central Resort Marketing team.
2.To ensure communications activity is implemented in the right place at the right time to support the Resort operation team and enhance the experience for Butlins Guests
3. Act as the Butlins 'brand champion' on Resort
Role & Responsibilities
1.The creation of agreed Guest communications; managing the creative, production and delivery process, working with the Resort Marketing team. For example, in-room communications, venue posters, information boards, check-in communication.
2.Develop effective Guest communication for "what's on when" around Resort including the completion of the break-specific entertainment guides following an agreed template.
3.Receive delivery of all promotional point of sale and ensure it is implemented smoothly across Resort.
4.Responsible for re-ordering collateral as required e.g. menu reprints, restaurant passes, character pack vouchers etc, plus creation of certain communications e.g. buffet food labels.
5.Manage the 'eat well' programme – including reprints and communication on Resort.
6.Manage the design, production and delivery of Day Visit collateral, supporting the Holiday Sales Manager.
7.Update screens in venues with appropriate and consistent messages and manage the Butlins TV channel content.
8.Ensure Butlins.com is up to date with Resort changes and information, feeding back to the Hemel Hempstead-based web team on any changes required.
9.Act as the 'brand guardian' on Resort, ensuring that all communications are on-brand creatively and tonally.
10.Update web based POS system with new collateral.
11.Communicate activity on Resort and to the wider marketing team.
12.Key marketing Resort support – fielding requests, managing priorities, support with planning, briefing creative, copywriting and proofing, managing production and approval.
13.Build and maintain good working relationships with the Resort operational team and the marketing team in Hemel Hempstead plus external design agencies and our internal studio (in Hemel Hampstead).
14.As required, support and implement any ad hoc marketing, promotional and communication requirements for the Resort team or for the marketing team in Hemel Hempstead.
15.Work with the operational teams on Resort to gain a knowledge and understanding of the business to ensure accuracy on any materials produced, and being part of the Resort Team.
16.Any other duties as required by the Resort or the marketing team in Hemel Hempstead.

Experience and Qualifications
* Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook is essential, with a Marketing Qualification preferred but not essential
* Commercially aware and demonstrate key marketing experience, with proved creation of consumer sales and marketing projects. Retail and / or Leisure experience would be useful.
* Excellent spelling and grammar, copywriting and proofing skills
