The Coastal Community Learning Disability Team is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Assistant Care Manager to work with us on a fixed term two year contract.

We are a high performing and dedicated team that is trying to do even better for our customers. Your role will be to complete reassessments and reviews to help us with our performance targets. You will be able to identify customer needs accurately and write support plans to reflect the efficient meeting of those needs and you will ideally have experience of working within a statutory setting and of the care management process. You will need to have a passion for working with adults with a learning disability, their support providers and carers. The role requires excellent assessment skills, IT abilities, organisation and a commitment to the welfare of people with a learning disability. The post is based in Worthing but will require travel across West Sussex and so it is preferable that the successful candidate is a driver with access to a vehicle.

The position is advertised for both Grade 6 and Grade 7 for applicants who evidence that they have the skills and ability to work at the higher grade.

Progression to Assistant Care Manager – Grade 7 will be through completion of at least 12 months service at Assistant Care Manager – Grade 6 and a formal assessment by the Team Manager that evidences the ability to work at the higher grade.
