We are seeking a cook at our Community House in East Worthing.

Community House is jointly funded by Worthing Homes and the Big Lottery Fund and is a unique, safe and informal drop-in facility which offers a range of services and activities to people of all ages.

On a Wednesday you will be running our new adult cooking programme helping adults prepare and cook for themselves and others. 

Thursday mornings you will be cooking with our adult footballers 16+ and in the afternoon with a group of under 11s.

Do you have what it takes?

• Are you able to respond well to young people and teenagers?
• Are you flexible and caring with an outgoing personality?
• Do you have experience of working in a community setting?

Main responsibilities:

• To provide 1 2 1 support to individuals and small groups in a variety of ways.
• Helping groups of mainly young adults, prepare and cook for themselves and others.
• Cooking sessions preparing meals from the ingredients given to us by a local supermarket.
• Signpost onto other departments or organisations.
• Tidying up and encouraging other users to keep the Community House Tidy.
