There’s a real momentum at West Sussex County Council. We’re focused on creating more positive outcomes for children and their families and we have the optimism and enthusiasm to achieve it.

We’ve already redesigned our service, transforming both our systems and the way we work. We’ve been inspired as one of only ten authorities involved in the Signs of Safety England Innovations Project.

Join us as an Advanced Practitioner, and you’ll be empowered. With experienced people around you and a senior leadership team backing you up, you’ll be in an environment in which you can focus on real social work and the child’s journey.

Ready to share your great ideas, great practice and great outcomes, you will lead on quality assurance for our residential services. It’s a chance to make your mark as you provide expertise and guidance to colleagues to ensure that we are providing good quality services and achieving positive outcomes for our children looked after.

Passionate about making a difference, you will provide expert advice and support to our residential services’ teams, embed a quality assurance framework and ensure that we have up to date procedures and guidance in place. You will have a good knowledge of the children’s homes regulations and the quality standards required.

You will need a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Further information about working in Children's Social Care in West Sussex can also be found on our dedicated website or you can contact us direct. If you would like to have an informal discussion about this role then please do not hesitate to contact Rachel Kemish.
