Part time, Term Time Only (39 weeks) /  Hours: 8.40am - 12pm or 11.50pm - 3.20pm  

(Monday to Friday)

Working with the University of Chichester Academy Trust, Fernhurst Primary School is an expanding village school with strong community links, a friendly, purposeful atmosphere, and well-motivated children.   We are committed to the continual development of all our staff.

We are looking for 1-1 Teaching Assistants to join our friendly and supportive team.   We need flexible, reliable and enthusiastic colleagues to support an individual child with learning, physical and emotional needs who will join our Reception class in the autumn term.   The support will be required in the classroom and during break times.  

You will work as part of a team to provide personal support to a pupil with an ASD diagnosis to enable them to settle in the school and achieve to the best of their ability.   You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic individual, preferably with experience of working with children with an ASD diagnosis but you will also be provided with appropriate training.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be able to demonstrate that you are committed to developing effective relationships with children, parents and staff, with a creative and flexible approach to working with an individual pupil.   Being passionate about every child's learning and progress you will also be able to promote excellent behaviour and high standards
