GROUP MANAGER – CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES

Salary per annum £47,470 - £50,274
Permanent, Full time
37 hours per week
Based at Worthing

Interview date: 17th August 2016

Due to promotion of the current post holder, we now have a vacancy for a Group Manager in our specialist Disability team based in Worthing. You will have overall responsibility for the line management and oversight of 2 practice groups covering the southern area of West Sussex. You will also work with colleagues and the Service Manager – Disabilities to contribute to the strategic direction and development of the service

The Disability team is a specialist team based within the Family Support and Protection service. We provide a holistic service for children with disabilities including assessment, planning and intervention for children in need (S.17), children in need of protection (S.47) and children looked after. We work closely with multi-agency partners and also have a successful specialist early intervention service – CHOICE – that supports children and families at an earlier stage, including the use of direct payments.

Our practice framework is based on Signs of Safety underpinned by knowledge of attachment and the impact of developmental trauma on children and families – all staff receive extensive training and support to implement these approaches

Our aim is to ensure that there is an improvement in outcomes for children in need and their families that is sustainable. The child’s experience is at the heart of our service: which means that everything we do and the way we do it can be explained in terms of impact and best outcome for the child.

As a Group manager you will be responsible for ensuring the principles and objectives of the service are delivered operationally and you will contribute to the senior management strategic vision for the Family Support and Protection service and also the wider children social care vision.

For an informal discussion, please contact Miranda Wharam, Service Leader or Caroline Lees, Service Manager

You also need to let us know details of your referees and HCPC registration details

We look forward to hearing from you
