East Sussex Standards and Learning Effectiveness Service is looking to recruit a senior manager to their successful school improvement team.

Based in the beautiful county of East Sussex, the service offers school improvement and training opportunities to a wide range of primary schools, academies, colleges and settings.

We are seeking an experienced and exceptional leader with expertise in improving pupils’ outcomes in the primary sector across a range of schools.

This position will provide an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to improve opportunities for pupils across the county and to build capacity in primary school leadership, teaching and learning alongside an experienced team of school improvement professionals.

The work is varied and exciting and would suit anyone who responds well to challenge and enjoys leading change.

We are happy to consider job share applications, part time working or requests for secondment opportunities.

Interviews will be held in Lewes on the 24 May 2016.

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau). Please note that we require evidence of an overseas police check if you have lived or worked abroad.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
