Aspire Sussex Ltd plans, promotes and delivers vibrant adult education across Sussex, enabling people to achieve their aspirations. We currently have a vacancy for a tutor to teach Dressmaking to a small group of adults on Wednesday evenings at Ifield Community College in Crawley starting 2nd March. Whilst a level 3 teaching qualification is preferred we would also be interested in receiving applications from proficient dressmakers, particularly those who also have previous experience of teaching dressmaking, along with a willingness to work towards achieving a level 3 adult teaching qualification. A dressmaking or related qualification would also be useful and the successful applicant must be willing to undertake on-line Safeguarding, Health and Safety and Equality & Diversity training, so appropriate IT skills will be required. Applicants for this position should have the communication and interpersonal skills needed to be able to lead, develop and motivate adult students to achieve their learning goals. They should be able to adapt teaching and learning strategies and select resources as appropriate in order to meet student needs and should be able to demonstrate excellent record keeping skills.

This is on a fixed term contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
