We have an opportunity for a qualified Planner seeking to gain further experience by being part of a team dealing with a variety of urban, rural and coastal planning issues. This will give you a great chance to develop your negotiating and technical skills and, as your experience develops, to deal with more complex applications/issues. The successful candidate would have a degree in a planning related subject (such as architecture, geography, geology, landscape architecture, economics and recognised town planning qualification allowing membership to the Royal Town Planning Institute). This post has an extensive amount of public contact, the occasional presentation of items at Development Control Committee, attendance at public meetings, hearings and other meetings as required. Some out of office hours working is part of the job requirement.
