We are looking for an experienced and skilled Educational Psychologist to lead our EP service, which includes management of Portage and other specialist advisory teams. It is a friendly, well established and supportive team with generous office space and IT equipment which enables work outside the office. A traded service is currently being developed. You will have the ability to provide strong leadership, management & direction of the service. You will have proven management skills and be able to demonstrate the application of knowledge to the achievement of good outcomes for children with SEN & disabilities. In addition you will have the ability to develop effective working partnerships with a range of stakeholders including parents, and to contribute to the development of policy and provision. You will be a member of the SEN & Inclusion senior management team, which as part of the Education & Skills directorate, works to fulfil our vision for children & young people, to: • give them the best start in life • be safe and secure • be healthy • be able to learn and ready for school and work • be part of, and contribute to, their local community • have the skills they need to live independently and be employed A new policy for education, agreed with schools to create a mutually supportive partnership, confirms our commitment to celebrate diversity and ensure we are inclusive and supportive to all children.
