The West Sussex SEND Information and Advice Service (SEND IAS) provides impartial information, advice and support to parents and carers of children who have special educational needs and/ or a disability.

The service aims to encourage partnership between parents, their child’s school, social care, the Local Authority, health and other agencies. Our service is available for any parent whose child has or may be identified as having special educational needs and/or a disability. We are looking to increase our remit so that we can provide information, advice and support to children and young people who have special educational needs and/or disabilities.

We are therefore seeking 2 Young People Advisers (1 to work in the north of the county and 1 to work in the south of the county). The SEND IAS team is based in Chichester, but you will be mainly field based, supporting children and Young People. You will report in to the base in Chichester as and when needed. You will therefore need to be able to drive (but do not need to own a car) to meet the requirements for this role.
