The Mental Health Service offers a range of support to help people recover from mental health issues and conditions.

You will be the first contact for all Mental Health Act referrals across the county. You will be supporting the AMHP (Approved Mental Health Professional) Service, by acting as a single point of contact for all referrals and queries.

Specifically this role will include:
Logging all MHA referrals, maintaining the referrals database and allocating referrals to the relevant AMHPs.
Producing all the statutory statistical data and the evidence to back it up.
Dealing with confidential patient medical matters and accessing confidential patient records for the purpose of research and investigation.

You will have relevant knowledge of associated legislation as well as legislation that affects the service. Using strong customer focus you will have the ability to work as a key point of contact for advice and guidance for customers and colleagues, gaining their trust and providing a high level of attention to detail, and provide a professional service to meet customers needs.
