Aspire Sussex Ltd plans, promotes and delivers vibrant adult education across Sussex, enabling people to achieve their aspirations. We are currently looking for additional GCSE & Functional Maths tutors to join our Employability & Skills Faculty team to deliver sessional courses to adults (16 years plus) from September 2015. We have vacancies across West Sussex and offer both daytime and evening courses. Applicants should ideally have a teaching qualification, Cert Ed/PGCE and subject specific qualifications. We would also consider City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QFC) (was PTTLS 7303) with an intention to work towards Level 4 Certificate or Level 5 Diploma. They should also be able to adapt teaching and learning strategies and select resources as appropriate in order to meet student needs. In addition applicants will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to lead, develop and motivate adult students to achieve their learning goals. Excellent record keeping skills and the ability to demonstrate relevant ICT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail and Internet will also be needed.
