Here at West Sussex County Council we have a clear vision for our county which sets out what we want to achieve with our residents. We are investing in our Adults social care services to support our priorities and in preparation for new responsibilities under the Care Act which start to become effective from April 2015. We want to ensure residents, families and communities have the right support in place to enable them to confidently prepare for later life so they can live independently for as long as possible and remain economically active for longer.

To help us develop and grow our service, we are looking to recruit motivated and experienced individuals to a number of social care roles. We are also willing to consider enthusiastic newly qualified applicants, who are keen to learn and wish to start their career in West Sussex.

A qualified social worker, registered with HCPC, you will need strong interpersonal and organisational skills. You will need to travel independently across the county to meet with individuals and carers to assess needs, formulate outcomes and undertake reviews using a person-centred approach designed to provide meaningful choice and promote wellbeing. You must be able to work autonomously, prioritise your work and respond flexibly to competing demands.

Salary £27,123 - £32,778 per annum

The roles will be based in various locations in West Sussex, including Worthing, Bognor Regis and Horsham and can be either on a full time or part-time basis. Some posts may be on fixed term contracts for 2 years. Please state your preferred geographical location on your application.
