Coastal West Sussex Mind is a local mental health charity committed to promoting mental well-being in local communities and supporting the recovery and independence of individuals we provide support to. We are looking for sessional recovery workers for our community services for adults with mental health problems to provide additional cover and support as required. Post-holders will provide recovery focused 1:1 and group support. Currently the services are open Monday – Friday during the day with some early evening opening as well. Hours of work will be variable and can be negotiated depending on availability. Applicants will need to state potential availability in the supporting information section of the application form. Applicants will need to: • have experience of working with people with mental health problems and an understanding of mental health recovery work • demonstrate that they can work independently in a busy mental health recovery centre • be flexible, creative, show initiative and have a real commitment to their work We welcome applicants who are currently undertaking professional social work, counselling or mental health nursing training who have previously worked in mental health services.
