Help and Care is an established charity and social enterprise working with people and communities. We provide information and advice that enable individuals to make decisions, find support that is right for them and live the lives they choose. We have a number of projects and services throughout the south east and south west region and the head office is in Bournemouth. Help and care provides innovative support and services for people and wider work influencing community health and social care for all.

We have recently revised our management structure to make sure it meet the needs of the Help and Care Strategy 2015 2018. There are currently opportunities for Trustees on Help and Cares Trustee Board and we have identified a number of new roles to complement the existing Board and drive forward our vision. We would particularly want to hear from candidates who have the following areas of expertise at a strategic level: Finance Governance Health and Social Care Policy Medical/General Practitioner Information and Communication Technology Human Resources Business Enterprise, Marketing and Communications (incl. Social Media) We are looking for individuals who have operated at Board or Senior level in private, public or voluntary sector and can demonstrate an understanding of how complex organisations function. Whatever your background, youll need to share our ambition and values and will be able to show how you meet the criteria in the person specification in our Trustee role profile. You must be able to commit at least 6 formal days each year to being a Trustee and depending on your own commitments there are plenty of informal opportunities for more involvement with your particular skills or interest should you so wish. Trustee positions are unremunerated but reasonable expenses are payable. There may be other opportunities to sit as Member Director on other associated Boards particularly in the Healthwatch areas that Help and Care has an interest.
