West Sussex County Council is working closely with the three Clinical Commissioning Groups across West Sussex, to provide integrated commissioning that ensures excellent health and social care services for local people. One of our key priorities is to improve the lives of those with Dementia, and we have recently developed a joint Dementia Framework to facilitate this. We are now seeking a commissioning manager, to help implement this strategic vision.

You will have a key focus on ensuring there is an affordable range of meaningful daytime activity for people with dementia that builds on best practice and the community assets within West Sussex. The review of our existing in house day service will be central to this work.

You will take a collaborative approach with a broad range of stakeholders and partners including customers and carers, CCGs, GPs, service providers and other stakeholders to understand need and demand for health and social care, and develop commissioning plans that will ensure cost effective and quality services.

You will need to demonstrate expertise in this area and the ability to contribute to the development of excellence across the commissioning cycle. With substantial experience in delivery of service improvements and transformational projects through partnership working you will demonstrate a passion for promoting independence, and personalised services.

You will be dynamic, innovative and demonstrate the ability to manage service developments and take a strategic overview of the health and social care system.
