Nua Healthcare Services UK Ltd offer home and community based support services to assist people in West Sussex in their daily living, helping to retain a sense of independence and well-being. These challenging roles will require particular flexibility to appropriately support people in the pursuit of their lifestyle choices.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in the health and social care sector and also in supporting people with a range of needs. However, experience is not essential as full training will be provided. Key duties of the role will include the following: • To assist customers who need help getting up and going to bed in the morning and evenings, including dressing and undressing, washing, bathing and going to the toilet. • To assist customers with their general mobility and with any physical disabilities, including all elements of personal care. • To care for customers who are temporarily unwell or disabled and need sympathetic support and help with feeding etc. • To prepare and serve light meals, clearing away and leaving clean and tidy. • To read and write reports accurately and diligently and contribute to customers’ reviews. • To encourage the independence of customers at all times, encouraging their participation in many elements of their care arrangements. Requirements for the post: Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided • NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care or equivalent (or willingness to work towards) • No adverse criminal record • Full Driving Licence and access to your own roadworthy vehicle (mileage will be payable) Key Competencies: • Effective verbal and written communication • An understanding of the needs of individuals • Ability to work under pressure • Ability to work on own initiative • Experience in caring for people • Experience of relation to people in a supportive role • Willingness to learn • Reliability and flexible approach to work • Good organisation and IT skills • Self-motivated/Self-starter • No adverse criminal record • Ability to plan time effectively Benefits: • Excellent hourly rates paid • Extensive training programme • Weekend enhancements • Flexible hours of work but up to 40 hours per week can be guaranteed • Company mobile phone • Career progression • Pension with up to 3% company contribution • Life Assurance to value of two times annual salary • Flexible working hours • 21 days annual leave (pro-rata for part time working) plus 8 Bank holiday days • Educational Assistance policy "Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010." Female only urgently required – 8.45 per hour plus weekend and bank holiday enhancements As a result of rapid growth, we urgently require Care and Support Workers to join our existing teams in West Sussex (Crawley, East Grinstead, Horsham, Haywards Heath & Burgess Hill). Shifts available; 7.00 to 11.30 11.30 to 14.30 15.30 to 18.00 18.00 to 22.00 (all Monday to Sunday)
