Aspire Sussex Ltd plans, promotes and delivers vibrant adult education across Sussex, enabling people to achieve their aspirations.

We are currently looking for additional tutors to join our Family Learning team to deliver sessional courses from September 2014 across West Sussex specialising in Maths, English, Science, developing reading and learning together at home and school.

We offer a range of courses which fall into two categories: ‘Family English, Maths and Language’ and ‘Wider Family Learning’. All courses involve adult learners and some courses involve adults and children learning together.

Applicants should have a teaching qualification and current or very recent experience of teaching adults and/or children. Experience of pre-school or KS1/2 and an up-to-date knowledge of how skills are taught in schools is advantageous.

Applicants should be clear about how their area of expertise can be embedded into a course in order for parents/carers to support their children’s learning.

In addition applicants will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to lead, develop and motivate adult students to achieve their learning goals. Excellent record keeping skills will also be needed.

Tutors - Family Learning
£20.42 - £23.80 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
£18.22 – £21.23 per hour (exclusive of holiday pay)
