Senior Residential children’s Workers required for large organisation based in West Sussex who have multiple services for children aged 8-18 with EBD displaying challenging behaviour.

Role involves empowering and improving the lives of the young people through regular stimulation and focus on educational needs of the individual child.

As a senior you will be expected to lead support staff on the floor and set an example to more inexperienced staff, giving direction and guidance at all times.

Successful candidates must be flexible in their approach to work and willing to take part in activities and also deal with varying levels of challenging behaviour on a regular basis.

1 years experience in a similar role working with EBD is essential, NVQ 3 is desirable but no means essential as full training is provided as well as regular training courses regarding new legislation. Also you must be prepared to work unsociable shifts and sleep ins.
