Harvey John Executive is working with an established business based on the South Coast who is looking to recruit a Sales and Marketing Director.

Based in West Sussex and reporting to the Managing Director, the job holder will be expected to provide leadership and coordinated management to the Sales and Marketing functions; to drive the Company sales performance through efficient and effective management of the sales force; to support the expansion and growth of the company through the design and execution of relevant marketing programmes, including company brand positioning, communications and new services; to provide tangible input in the Company strategy and Brands leverage activities.

Key responsibilities will be to include propose, implement and monitor the sales incentive schemes; manage the provision of well communicated marketing campaigns throughout the business; identify and manage key relationships at a senior level within external bodies; to identify and propose business development projects; ensure maximum profile at the national and local exhibitions within the operating budget; implement training programmes, skills training and developmental programmes for sales/marketing teams as necessary and to contribute to the operating, strategic and business continuity plans on an annual basis.

Applicants will be experienced within sales/marketing management with the flexibility to travel 50-70% of mainly UK travel but possibly with some overseas. Applicants will also be numerate with a P&L understanding and strong people management/leadership skills.
