**Lecturer in GSCE Maths/AS Maths**

This progressive college is looking for a Lecturer in GCSE Maths/AS Maths who will be responsible for high quality teaching, academic support and programme leadership.

Working for a dynamic, innovative and high performing learning institution you will be required to;

• Make effective use of e-learning technology within and outside of the classroom to support learning
• Produce planning documentation for lessons in the College format, including lesson plans and group profiles
• Closely plan, monitor, track and record students' progress and achievements in lessons through personal learning plans and assessment records
• Teach on a range of College programmes, providing high quality learning opportunities that meet the needs of individual students and groups in line with the College's strategic priorities and objectives.
• Be committed to constantly improving standards of quality in Skills for Life provision and to assess these through contributions to self assessment reports and observations of provision
• Work as required with students who need confidence building and personal development

The successful candidate will possess the following;

• Degree in a relevant area or equivalent relevant occupational qualification
• Cert Ed/PGCE (Teaching qualification)
• Experience of teaching/training and assessing Adult Literacy/Adult Numeracy/Functional Skills Maths/Functional Skills English/GCSE Maths
• Ability to work well in teams but also to work independently with the minimum of supervision
• Effective interpersonal and presentation skills
• Commitment to high professional and personal standards of work and of conduct
