An exciting new opportunity to support adults with learning disabilities in Music and Media Creative Enterprises. Enabling the people we support to take an active and meaningful role in vocational training - expressing themselves, being creative and producing and promoting goods and services in Access Music and Digital Media.
 
Access Music enables people to develop music skills - creating, recording, performing, dj'ing and promoting and delivering events and entertainment. Digital Media provides training in social media, film, animation and photography and making physical products (mugs) from digital sources. The role will also occasionally involve working with our Earthworks Group that provides therapeutic art, craft, clay and Woodland Forest Schools based activities.
 
The support will promote people's rights, choice, independence and social inclusion within these creative enterprises. Liaising with other staff to provide an accessible, relaxed yet stimulating environment which encourages the people we support to try new experiences and acquire new skills, abilities and confidence. By engaging in the arts we believe that our clients will be given the tools to express themselves and develop new ideas, achievements and goals, promoting a positive impact on their daily life, ambitions and self esteem.
 
The contractual hours for this post are 37.5 hours per week working 5 days in  7, generally Monday to Friday 8.30-4.30 with occasional evenings, weekends and public holidays.
