West Sussex are continuing to evolve and broaden our Educational Psychology Service and this has led to an exciting opportunity for those either who have established experience as a manager or those who are seeking to make the next step in their career development.

We are seeking an area Senior Educational Psychologist to join our friendly, professional, supportive and established team in West Sussex. We have office bases in Worthing and Horsham, ideally located for the nearby cities of Chichester and Brighton. This post will be based in Worthing supporting schools in the western area of West Sussex. Other hot-desking locations are available in Chichester and Bognor Regis.

The role involves the day to day management of an EP area team as well as supporting the LA in the delivery of essential roles including representation of the service at events and panels and contributing to the direction and structure of the EP service.

Our high performing service consists of area teams, each managed by an experienced Senior Educational Psychologist. The Educational Psychology Service also includes highly skilled and experienced teams, within specialist support services including a Portage team and a sensory support team of advisory teachers. We have an Assistant Psychologist and also host Trainee EPs.

Our office accommodation offers storage for resources in premises with conference rooms and café/restaurant facilities. Flexible and remote working arrangements actively support EPs to optimise work schedules and encourage a healthy work/life balance. This is supported by mobile IT equipment including iPad and/or iPhone.

CPD, peer support and supervision is much valued within the service and considered as fundamental to our values and team approach.

If you would like to discuss the post informally or would like to visit us prior to application then we would be very happy to provide this opportunity.
